We Won't Give Up...We Won't Give Up...Now!

Hello all.  It has been quite a while since I have posted on here...well for me at least.  Haha.  I had a few things that needed my attention and so...that's where I was.  One of which was an animation test!  But unfortunately, I did not get the position.  So...BACK to the drawing board.

One thing that I like to do when improving my art is to place myself in my own "Hyperbolic Chamber"...just like DBZ!  Haha..of course there's no time difference...unfortunately.  But really, for myself, it's a big thing regarding discipline and learning as much as I can within a short period of time, or whenever I think I have come to a point where I have new material and feel confident enough to try my hand again at working towards jumping back into my field.  Well, anywho...I can go on and on about that little ditty, but I won't.  Instead...I will just showcase more backgrounds as I am now back to focusing on my short Cerulean animated project.  I'm pretty stoked about this to be honest.  We'll see what the future may bring.  :)

I also changed the time of day of a previous background that I posted earlier when I started this blog. At first I was going for a day time, just to get a feel, but now, since I have decided to place everything within a dusk setting, that background had to change.

  1. amazing as always my man. sad, but when I saw the second BG... it made me think of Pooh 20 years later.

I had to go look it up because it was so spot on in my memory I thought I had to be wrong. That is exactly the background isn't it!? That IS the hundred acre woods, 20 years later. This is our world today. No more pooh, tigger has been captured and studied by scientists for his springy tail, piglet is bacon, no more soft grass to gaze at the stars, no more tree on the hill with beautiful views, only cityscape. It is a bit like realizing there is no Santa, I am a bit depressed, a little relieved, overwhelming emotion of doubt for the future, and at a complete loss for the present. I suppose what they say is true, you can never go home, Christopher had to grow up.

Bradford, you've put a whole new light on my life with a single piece of artwork.... and it is unsettling.
